Integrated Behavioral Health

Care focused on all your needs

Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) is about providing both primary care and behavioral health services together, in the same place, at the same time. Primary care works best when we focus on all aspects of the person, not just a physical “issue.”

How Does IBH Work?

IBH services are tailored to your needs; IBH staff work directly with your Primary Care Provider to consider physical, behavioral, and emotional aspects of your health concern and help determine a course of action that will work best for you. They can help when habits, behaviors, stress, worry, or emotional concerns about physical or other life problems are interfering with your daily life or overall health.

IBH can help with a wide variety of health issues and concerns, like:

  • Anger, anxiety, and depression
  • Alcohol use
  • Asthma
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Chronic pain
  • Diabetes
  • Exercise
  • Headaches
  • High blood pressure
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Obesity, weight loss planning and management
  • Poor sleep
  • Stress
  • Smoking cessation
  • And other lifestyle modifications

Integrated Behavioral Health services are part of your overall health care and not specifically mental health care.

To schedule an appointment:

Talk with your Primary Care Provider about questions you may have about the IBH program. If you and your provider agree this service would be helpful, they will refer you to the IBH counselors.
