Daly Hospital Foundation holding online auction

Foundation news | Sunday, July 5, 2020

The Daly Hospital Foundation, designed to support Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital, is hosting an online auction to replace its annual fundraising gala, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

DHF Director of Philanthropy Stacie Duce said she’s disappointed to cancel their annual gala.

“It is such a fun event to celebrate the hospital’s successes, new staff and pursuits,” Duce said. “But we don’t want to risk any major gathering like that and we’re taking the items that have already been donated as an online auction. It is a way for people to support the hospital and have fun with bidding wars and that excitement to truly have an impact on the hospital’s recovery.”

Duce said the online auction site showcases the auction items well, allows everyone to participate and is user-friendly.

“The last few months we have seen loyal donors step up and be very generous,” Duce said. “We’ve met brand-new people who see the charitable giving really impacts the community, through small and large means. This online auction opens the doors for anyone to support the DHF organization, which benefits us all.”
