Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Annual Wellness Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Medical Assistant position. The Annual Wellness LPN/CMA (AWV Nurse) plays a crucial role in execution and support of MDMH providers as they apply Population Health methodologies to their practices. Successfully service, monitor and grow strategic relationships to enable achievement of the triple-aim: improved patient experience, improved clinical quality and reduction in total cost of care.

The AWV Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the most accurate patient data is obtained and populated into the patient record, therefore, must have an exceptional attention to detail and maintain knowledge and competence. This position involves direct and indirect patient care in the office and clinic setting; provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a provider. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures and standards. The AWV Nurse will be trained using Cerner applications, Noridian, Caravan Portals & associating site access/navigation to successfully support Annual Wellness duties. This includes scheduling, insurance verification, and contacting outside facilities to obtain patient records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: BLS or higher. For LPN a Montana state license is required. Medical Assistants must be certified through completion of an accredited NCCA (National Commission for Certifying Agencies) exam.
  • Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Positive verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills; ability to follow departmental and organizational policies/procedures. Ability to organize and prioritize while utilizing critical thinking skills.
  • Experience: Negotiable

Benefits: This position is eligible for bonus pay as follows:

  • Sign-on bonus: $500 paid to employee upon hire
  • Retention bonus: $500 paid to employee after 6 months of employment
